a valentine's weekend

the beach in february.

runners as far as the eye could see.

i really should be writing a paper right now but i need a break from reading about the rise of papacy in rome and the popes that used their positions for popularity, power and wealth. so, anyway, daniel planned a great valentine's weekend away! it was much needed as we often find our weeks filled everynight with some sort of committment usually related to our church community and relationships that we are trying to build. so it was wonderful to get away just the two of us. daniel found a great little resort hotel on the water at myrtle beach, he took friday off and we set out on our little trip. we got in that afternoon, played some golf, took a walk on the beach and went down to murrell's inlet for a nice, seafood dinner. the next morning i woke up to the sounds of cheering so i went to the balcony and saw the myrtle beach marathon (full and half) pass by. oh, it was so inspiring...if you are just tuning in to the blog i have a goal this year of doing my first race(s)...i WILL work up to at least a half marathon sometime this year! (i'm at 5 miles now). during the same hour of watching the runners go by i got news that my niece (see post below) was making her way into the world, so, needless to say, i was hyped up on all the happenings that was going on at the 7am hour.

all in all, we had a wonderful time away together...our first valentine's together...my husband did great!

Wow, you guys are getting closer and closer to where we live. Gotta get together. Talked to DRC. Do you that part of her doctoring has her pronouncing people dead??? I thought pronouncing kids learning disabled was big, but again she has me trumped!
