kids that fill my days

Its been a good week of preschool. I was remembering back to last year with my kindergartners (my frist year of teaching) that it wasn't until after Christmas that deep teacher-kid relationships were made...that is the same for this year too with my preschoolers. I mean, I have always loved them and thought that they were cute but it wasn't until after Christmas that they REALLY are cute to me and understand my looks, my comments and their limits to my patience level.

Here are a few pictures of them from yesterday. I had to bring in my camera to take pictures for the Valentine's frames that we painted for our dads. Valentine's day is when our school has "Donuts for Dads" day (since Father's Day isn't until after school ends) so we were making them a special project. The frames ended up being really cute!

Our morning routine when the kids come in...they wash their hands first and head to their seat for a time of playdough playing!

Here are a few painting their frames for their daddy's.

Avery's pretty bow = $5 Avery's cute shoes = $10 Avery's picture after she's been in time-out = priceless

I couldn't help it - she was so cute when she got up from her time-out (a place she doesn't frequent often.)

Oh how I wish you could be Abby's preschool teacher!! Your little kiddos are so blessed to have you as their teacher. Their first school experience will shape how they feel about school for the rest of their lives and it's so great that they have you!! I'm sure you're preparing them for a bright future, even if they spend a little time in time out (love that pic).

What a fun job. I like the way you have the two trapzoid tables together. I love how you add insult to the injury of timeout by snapping her pic... that's the kind of psychological gaming that will really send her to therapy!
