weekend to the beach

I know I haven't posted in a few days and even at that it hasn't been anything too interesting. We have been so busy this past week with work, church stuff, and our Malawi to-do list is getting longer. We have been busy preparing to present and talk at Daniel's dads church in north Charlotte next Sunday. It's just been so busy that we needed to get away and breathe.

So this past weekend we headed with our friends to their family's beautiful beach house in north Myrtle Beach. Its a huge house straight out of a magazine! So great to get away...we usually go to their house once a year in the summer with a bunch of friends, but this time it was just the 4 of us. It rained the whole time, but it was just nice to go shopping, watch a movie and sit around talking!

We headed to Walmart to get a board game and the boys decided to ride BMX bikes around the aisles. Boys will be boys.

Daniel and Ryan crack me up together. Sunday morning I walked out into the living room and these two guys were sitting around the "fireplace".

Our great friends, Ryan and Ashley! We love them and will miss them so much next year!

It started snowing on our way home from the beach. Ryan prided himself in this picture because he turned around to face the camera while he was driving...don't do this at home.
